Geoff is originally from a farming background and from secondary school went on to Massey University to complete a Diploma in Agriculture. After some time shepherding and other farm related work he purchased a sheep & beef property at Te Uri, Dannevirke, which he farmed for 15 years.
In 1992, Geoff was approached to consider a position selling rural Real Estate with a local firm. In his first year in Real Estate he was awarded a member of the multi million dollar club. A membership criterion is by selling over three million dollars worth of Real Estate in a calendar year. Considering farm prices in those days this was quite an achievement.
1997 saw the lure for a new challenge selling horticultural products and supplies to a wide variety of clientele from commercial nurseries to sports turf specialists in the lower North Island. This was a new position and Geoff developed and serviced over 300 clients and generated an average sales turnover of over $500,000. Around August 2001 Geoff was once again asked to rejoin Real Estate and as this coincided with the horticultural company being sold, he decided to do so.
After being back in the industry for 18 months and achieving the multi million club again within the first 4 months, Geoff formed a selling partnership with Wayne McDonagh. As a partnership, Geoff & Wayne sold in excess of $118 million worth of property and picked up some national awards on the way.
In December 2010, Geoff, Wayne & Pam Henricksen purchased the Tararua region for the Professionals Group which they ran until they sold to Patrick & Scott Ltd in May 2014.
Geoff brings a combination of experience, skill and energy to the marketing of property and is now the Tararua/CHB Area Manager for Patrick & Scott Ltd.
Outside of work Geoff enjoys his Lifestyle property, cycling, fishing, tramping and following most sports. Geoff is married with 5 adult children.
